The first seminar of the 2012 Driving for Profit Series will feature:

• Wendell Erb, President & CEO, The Erb Group of Companies, participating in the "How We Did It" session; and
• Doug Nix and Doug Davis participating in a session about Mergers and Acquisitions;
• Lou Smyrlis, Truck News, will moderate both sessions.
• Ray Haight will be the Master of Ceremonies for the event

Wendell Erb has transportation in his blood, he is the second generation leader of the Erb Group of Companies. Since 1980, Wendell has led many successful growth initiatives at Erb, including the launch of Erb's International operations. Wendell is one of a growing minority of Industry leaders who has worked in every part of a Trucking company's operations - from behind the wheel, to the boardroom.

Doug Davis, a well respected Transportation Industry executive has amassed an impressive track record as both a Shareholder, Executive and Industry Consultant. Prior to his current role with Pro-Trans Ventures Inc. (a TSX Venture company), Doug was a major shareholder in Pollock NationaLease, which he helped build to a company with over 2000 pieces of equipment and 400 employees; the continued success of Pollock ultimately culminated in the sale of the company to Ryder Truck Leasing. In addition, Doug has provided consulting services to Transportation companies on Strategic Initiatives, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Financing.

Douglas Nix is Vice Chairman of CFA (Corporate Finance Associates), and Chairman of CFA's Transportation and Logistics Industry Practice Group. He is one of Canada's leading mid-market M&A advisors. He has been involved in over 60 M&A transactions in the past 15 years and has advised many public and private companies in acquisitions and divestitures of domestic and international operations. He previously worked with PriceWaterhouseCoopers internationally where he advised many clients in different industries.
